Blancpain X-71 Link Replacement
The Bracelet
My plan was to replace a full link on the X-71 with a half link. This actually a bit longer than just removing a half link. Thanks to a fellow TZer for the extra links.
The BP Flyback in a Bergeon Vise.
Removing the screws with a #160 Bergeon screwdriver.
The screws are almost out. Notice you'll need to remove 4 screws and 2 end pieces from both sides to remove a link.
The end pieces removed. The links have bushings/sleeves through the end pieces.
Here's another look with the end pieces removes.
One full link four end pieces and eight screws.
The bracelet with one full link removes and all the parts.
Complete. You can see the 2 half links on the 6
o'clock side and one on the other side.
Now I have 1 extra full link and 1 original full ink.
Funny, I always have parts left over when I'm done.
