Breitling Aerospace Before the Rebuild and After

I started looking at acquiring a Multi-function watch early in the year, 2002. My research pointed me to the Breitling Aerospace, Bell & Ross Fusion and the Omega Seamaster 120. There are other "Multi" watches out there namely the Omega Speedmaster X-33 and the Breitling B-1 but they were just to BIG.

I found the Unofficial Breitling Homepage on the TZ/Breitling board, thanks to Juan Irming for the tremendous job. You can see the variation in models available. I settled on trying to find the older model Aerospace which is actually marked Navitimer on the dial. The new Aerospace is in the Professional line.

A after seeing the two tone in person, that was the one I selected. I got lucky when a clean one showed up on EBAY.

I moved the lights, camera and action down to the basement for this composition. The Beretta AL-390, Gold Sporting Clay, is my newest shotgun. I'm trying to get the hang of sporting clays. I've been shooting Trap for 25 years, sporting clays definintly has more action.

Movement

The watch uses Breitling calibre 75/ ETA xxxx movement. Chronograph, Timezone, Alarm, Day/Date.

Case and Dial

The crystal is flat and set below the bezel. The Titanium case diameter is 40mm and is 10mm thick. The lugs are 20mm wide. The dial came in 3 colors, black, grey and blue. It is water resistance to 330 feet, the crown is not a screwdown type. The bezel is uni-directional with gold rider tabs.

Bracelet

The bracelet fits great and is a link pin, folded titanium with alternating gold tone links. The clasp is the single folding type with the "Breitling" Logo embossed.

and After

Well all I can say is that after spending $690 for this Aerospace on Ebay it died after about 6 months.

After a month and 2 attempts here's the results. New bezel, crystal, rider tabs, gaskets, MOVEMENT and new style two-tone bracelet.
