The Bracelet

I purchased the Aerospace on Ebay after the mini-frenzy on TZ died down a bit. It's in good condition. I'm not sure how old it is. The serial number is in the 15,000 range.

A few words of caution.

Some watches have split pins. A split pin is a piece of wire/rod folded in half. It may look like a screw when viewing the end. Split pins have a slight bulge on the folded end. This help to retain the pin in the bracelet.

There may be an Arrow on the bracelet to show which direction the pins are to be removed.

See Paul Delury's piece on Split pin bracelets. Removing split pins from bracelets...TZC #1155 and my piece on the

Blancpain screw pin bracelet. If you ever wanted to replace an x71 link....TZC #1659

The Breitling has solid pins.

End caution.

The Two Tone Titanium bracelet in the tool. It comes with 2 height shims to line up the push pin.

The push pin is screwed in as far as it will go. The bracelet pin can then be pulled out by hand. I like to detach the clasp end so the watch lies flat in the tool. Remember you have to remove 2 pins to detach a link. I keep the now extra pin in the link. Small ziplock bag come in handy to store the links.

The link can be removed and the two ends jointed together. The pin is then replaced. I used the tool to push the pin back in. This was a bit tricky as the hole can no longer guide the tool.
