Las Vegas Gun and Knife Show
January 16 - 18, 2009
HOME
I arrived in Las Vegas on Thursday, 1/15, and crashed at a relatives house.
In the morning I got online and paid
for a three day pass to the Gun/Knife show so I could just pick up the
tickets at "will call".
That was a mistake.
When I got to the Riviera I found out that they were manually pulling the pre-paid passes. They never got to mine.
So I had to pay at the door and they cancelled my online ticket (I'll have to check with the CC company).
I got to there at about 10:00, had breakfast at the Peppermill next door. I had to move the car and wound up parking
in Circus, Circus one day and in Ross' the next day (next to Denny's :-).
Now on to the show
There were a few interesting rifles and a ton of shotguns. I'm not a shotgun guy so no pics.
Here are two Franz Schmeid Single shot rifles I could have come home with.
First one is in 300 Win Mag. and only $19,000.00

The second one I really liked.
In 7x64mm and only $13,000.00

Connecticut (Galazan) Double Rifle in 22 LR on a mini Winchester M21 frame.

Here is a Daniel Fraser Takedown

This is the one rifle I was thinking about. A Mauser in 9.3x62mm. It was very nice but just a bit too high for me.

Cut away Broomhandle Mausers

Colt 9mm Trials pistol, they lost out to Beretta.

Here's a Savage 45ACP made for the 1907 Trials that the Colt 1911 won.
Only $13,500.00

Now here is one of the highlights of the show. A 5 barrel set Winchester M1894.
With papers from Cody.
Only $197,000.00

32-40 ... 38-55 ... 25-35 ... 30 WCF ... 32 Win Spl.

I walked passed this table a few times then I recognized the name. Monte Mandarino
I think he had $8700.00 marked on it.

I did buy something from Holland & Holland.

So back to the other side of the room. The Knife show.
I bought this one from Hans Weinmueller. The small blade unlocks the larger one. Like the Hubertus Auto.

The "regular" gun show was in the Sports Center on Sunset East off of Las Vegas Blvd (the strip).
It was typical, mostly "Black Guns", assorted AR-15s .. etc.
Only picture of the show. A Gyrojet with 1 round of ammo.
