My quest earlier this year was to find a Chrono with the Lemania 5100 movement. I just happened to be taking a class at 57th and Madison Ave in NYC in April. As luck would have it a few blocks down 57st West of 5th Ave. is Kenjo.

The watch is housed in a titanium case. It has a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. The buttons are large and integrated into the case. It is water resistant to 20 bar.

The movement is the famous Lemania 5100 with a large central 60-minute timer, a 12-hour counter at 9', a 24-hour time readout at 12' and the day and date display at 3'. For a complete review of the movement try TZ Classics #684 by Markus Hanke Differences between Valjoux 7750 and Lémania 5100. Since there is a 24hour dial it makes the watch one of the easiest to set. Pull the crown out one stop and turn in one direction for the date and the other direction for the day. Pull once more to set the time. Push the crown back in to wind. Push and turn to screw the crown home.

OK now that the techie stuff is out of the way here's my opinion.

This watch is BIG and THICK. It's 44mm across and 15mm thick. Forget about wearing it under a shirt cuff. All the same that doesn't stop me from wearing it in an office environment on Fridays.

I have a small wrist but there is enough adjustment in the folding clasp for a good fit. The titaniums light weight makes the watch comfortable to wear.

The most distinctive feature of the Nato Chrono is the large buttons:

You can see the buttons are chamfered on the bottom and top. Other watched with this style case (Bell & Ross) have sharp bottom edges.
